I had great confidence in Mr.Trivedi having heard that he had done lumbar decompression through minimally invasive surgery, many times without “it going wrong”. Having looked at my scans and X ray he was confident that he could improve my quality of life. However, he did caution me with the proviso that any surgery is a risk and that I might end up with a different problem, pain, paralysis, infection, or numbness. In fact, he sent me away to further consider my options before going ahead. But it didn’t take more than a few minutes to decide to place my faith in him. This was well founded - about six days post op., the pain I had been living with for some years had gone and I had minimal numbness in my feet (this does not impinge on every day activities). Overall, I am extremely pleased with the outcome and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Trivedi. Movement is a great part of my life and he has restored that; I am very grateful.

After many years of getting no where with a back condition, Mr Trivedi was the first to listen and explain and offer me an option to help. He made me feel very calm and relaxed and listened to what I had to say. He is an amazing doctor and very knowledgeable.

I first met Mr Trivedi at Spire Lea Cambridge 2 years ago as a private patient. He reviewed my private MRI and gave his views in clear terms on L4/5 disc issue. He suggested carrying on with physio and mitigating risk but if the left sciatic pain did not improve within 10 weeks to book another appointment. Over next 18 months the pain went in cycles but following a bad episode I arranged a second MRI and another appointment with Mr Trivedi. He reviewed the images and gave me three clear options: stay managing and there was a risk of it becoming an emergency, go through NHS pathway with a likely wait of 2-4 years or see him privately. Costings were provided by Spire Lea very quickly and agreed with me. I saw Mr Trivedi again to discuss next steps and he clear articulated what he could do along with the risks of the key hole surgery. He gave me time to ask my questions. I made the decision to go ahead and he accommodated my desire to have the operation in Jan 24. Whilst I am still recovering I cannot fault the operation or Mr Trivedi's bedside manner. I have always felt he got to know me and ensured I understood what was going on. Clearly there is a risk with such operations and only the patient can sign on the line to accept them but equally I believe a consultant of Mr Trivedi's ability does a lot to mitigate the risks below to overall quoted figures. Obviously things can go wrong. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Trivedi for any neuro issues in the spinal area

I’m alive today as a consequence of MrT’s assistance. No more words apart from grateful thanks.

Saw Mr Trivedi following an acute episode of back pain and resulting MRI. MRI review was thorough and explained fully. Concerns were completely addressed, with clear explanation of best management going forward and that surgery would not be required.
